Meet the Weybridge Team
The SmartCare team is dedicated to providing a professional service to all clients, fulfilling their care needs to the highest possible standard. At SmartCare we believe our care workers are the most important part of our business. All our staff are DBS checked and all undergo a psychometrical test to show up those who have the strengths needed for effective care work. Our care workers are chosen for their experience, cheerful disposition, attention to detail, reliability and dedication to the special needs of our clients. In line with government legislation, all care workers are being trained or qualified to NVQ2/QCF2 and above. They are encouraged to attend courses specialising in Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Stroke and Learning Disabilities, Diabetes and End of Life to help them understand what is needed to meet peoples needs. All of our candidates must also supply appropriate references, which are checked thoroughly before they are taken into our employ.
Alex became interested in the care industry after seeing the devastation caused when his own father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and the need for a high standard of care within the vulnerable community. By opening SmartCare he believed he would be offering a valuable quality service to the community, one which he would have been happy employing to care for his own father.
Alex is hands on in SmartCare and always accessible to clients and staff and makes sure that SmartCare are always looking for ways to do things in the best way possible.
Anne arrived in the United Kingdom in June 2007 and soon settled down, changed her career path and became involved in an industry where she could follow her dream of providing passionate care and support to vulnerable adults.
She thrives on building excellent, long lasting relationships with both service users and care workers alike and is very much a hands on manager, always committed to ensuring that SmartCare provides an excellent care service.
Anne previously worked in the Life Insurance Industry, and has more than 20 years administrative and management experience.
Jenny has been with SmartCare since October 2016, where she is getting to know the UK way of things. Jenny is a caring and compassionate person, which allows her to communicate and relate well with both care workers and management.
However, Jill still missed the caring side and found a happy medium by assisting with co-ordinating which enabled her to do certain care calls in between all the co-ordinating.
Jill joined the SmartCare team in March 2010 as a co-ordinator and still regularly does care calls to stay in touch with our clients.
In addition she has first-hand experience of dementia having a stepfather that had Parkinson’s and Vascular Dementia before passing away in August 2015. Her grandmother also was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at a time when dementia did not have the awareness and understanding that it has now. Sally has taken a special interest in the various forms of dementia and has studied the subject. Sally realises that everyone is individual and has different needs, likes and dislikes, The challenge to Sally is to give people person-centred care that works for them.
